Pushkar’s White and Gold Gala raises £7000 for Caudwell Children, a national disabled children’s charity

We’ve raised an impressive £7000 for Caudwell Children (a national charity that provides practical and emotional support to disabled children and their families) at our recent White and Gold Gala event. The glamorous gala evening of fine dining and entertainment was hosted in a bid to raise as much money as possible for the charity, aiding them in transforming children’s lives across the UK.

The evening began with red carpet arrivals, accompanied with drinks and canapes, before a grand three course meal was served. Guests were treated to a fantastic range of entertainment, including a performance from 2006 x-factor contestant, Jonathan Bremner.

We also had a special visit from this year’s The Apprentice contestant, James White! James, who comes from Birmingham, is one of the most controversial characters on this year’s show and has already proven himself to be a formidable contestant to win billionaire business mogul and Amstrad founder Lord Alan Sugar’s approval.

In addition to funds raised through ticket sales, we hosted live auctions and raffles throughout the evening to gather as much money as possible for Caudwell Children charity.

“I’d like to thank everyone who came along to our White and Gold Gala, it really was a spectacular evening. The money we were able to raise collectively for Caudwell Children will make a huge difference to the lives of many children. We hope all of our guests enjoyed themselves as much as we did!” Rai Singh, Pushkar’s Creative Director.

“It was a fantastic evening and we can’t thank those at Pushkar Cocktail Bar and Dining enough for fundraising for the charity in this way. Every single penny that they’ve raised will go directly to the children that we support in the midlands.” Kerrie Davies, Head of Events at Caudwell Children.

Pushkar wins The Best of Birmingham in the 2017 English Curry Awards

We added ‘The Best of Birmingham’ award to our list of accolades at the 7th annual English Curry Awards on 21st August 2017.

Many personalities from the hospitality industry gathered at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly hotel to celebrate, reward and highlight the unsung heroes behind the UK’s favourite dish. Attendees enjoyed a glittering ceremony with great food and entertainment while finding out which were the best curry houses of 2017.

With approximately 25 million curries being consumed each week, the English Curry Awards has become a key fixture on the UK social calendar, lauded as a national institution in its own right. The nomination process invited members of the public to nominate their favourite curry restaurants for a deserving accolade.

“We’re absolutely over the moon to have won another English Curry Award. Birmingham’s culinary scene is one of the richest in the world when it comes to curry establishments, and so to be awarded ‘The Best of Birmingham’, out of so many great curry greats, is such an honour. We are always proud to represent Birmingham and the Midlands. I’d like to thank everyone who has supported us through the years and we could not have done this without the amazing team behind Pushkar.” Rai Singh, Pushkar’s Creative Director.

Pushkar scoops Best Fine Dining award at the 2017 Wonders of Westside Awards (WOWS)

Pushkar has got 2017 off to a winning start after scooping the Best Fine Dining award in the 2017 Wonders of Westside Awards (WOWS)!

The Wonders of Westside Awards (formerly the Best of Broad Street Awards) honours the best bars, nightclubs, hotels and restaurants on Birmingham’s ‘Golden Mile’. The awards ceremony, now in its twelfth year, was held at Edgbaston Cricket Ground on Sunday 29th January where entertainers, businessmen and women, entrepreneurs and hospitality staff all rubbed shoulders. As always, there was a great energy and buzz surrounding the event.

There were over 20 award categories in total including Best Door Supervisor, Best Police Officer, Best Manager, Best Chef, Best Restaurant, Best Themed Venue, Best Casual Dining, and Best Overall Venue. Pushkar, which has won numerous awards at the WOWS in previous years including ‘Best Fine Dining’ and ‘Best Restaurant’, won the ‘Best Fine Dining’ award again at this year’s ceremony.

“I’d like to thank Team Pushkar for all of their hard work and for continuously pushing the boundaries. It means a lot that this award is supported by the community of the Westside BID and that we have the support to achieve national success as well as well as local. And, of course, a huge thanks to our diners for their ongoing support and loyalty.” Rai Singh, Pushkar’s Creative Director.
