Pushkar wins Best Curry Restaurant

Pushkar Cocktail Bar and Dining recently added a Best Curry Restaurant award to our list of accolades at the inaugural Birmingham Food, Drink & Hospitality Awards on Monday 6th June 2016.

Many personalities from the hospitality industry gathered at the Edgbaston Cricket Stadium to celebrate, reward and highlight the great work done within the city at places where people eat, drink and sleep. The awards were hosted by celebrity TV personality and proud Brummie, Alison Hammond. Entertainment on the night included dance performances by ‘Desi Nach’.

The Awards are the first of their kind, celebrating everything from the best restaurants, best hotels to the best food and drink bloggers. The BFDH’s charity partner, Love Brum raised £2000 for Birmingham and District Deaf Children’s Society which was voted by the guests out of three proposed charities.

Pushkar’s sister restaurant, Praza Edgbaston, was also shortlisted by public vote for the Best Curry Restaurant award.

‘Birmingham’s culinary scene is one of the richest in the world when it comes to curry establishments, and so to be awarded Best Curry Restaurant, out of so many great curry greats in Birmingham, is such an honour. As always, it’s not only a Pushkar team effort when we win these awards, but also the support of our loyal customers who continue to visit, praise and vote for us so we’d like to say a huge thank you them, as well as the judges for ultimately selecting Pushkar as the winner.’ Pushkar’s Creative Director, Rai Singh.

Birmingham Cocktail Weekend arrives at Pushkar

We are delighted to announce that Pushkar Cocktail Bar & Dining will be one of the venues taking part in the popular annual Birmingham Cocktail Weekend on Friday 15th, Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July!

Birmingham Cocktail Weekend is a weekend of sampling the best of Birmingham’s cocktail scene which allows wristband holders (priced at £6) to purchase signature cocktails at great venues across the city, like Pushkar, throughout the weekend for just £4.

Pushkar’s signature cocktail entry is a Grey Goose Vodka based Spicy Mango Cocktail, made up of freshly squeezed mango fruit juice, passionfruit puree, fresh green and red chillies and a generous measurement of Grey Goose Vodka. And if you’d like an extra spicy kick from this concoction you can opt for a garnish of chillies rubbed around the rim of the glass.

We look forward to celebrating Birmingham’s fantastic cocktail scene with you all!

Pushkar wins a British Curry Award

Christmas came early for Pushkar this year with our first ever British Curry Award win!

South Indian Festival at Pushkar for National Curry Week

As you might have already heard through the grapevine, Pushkar has been selected to represent the great city of Birmingham during National Curry Week 2015 (12th – 18th October). To celebrate this and as our own little homage to curry and Indian cuisine, we are running a two week South Indian Festival at Pushkar. From 12th – 25th October, you can celebrate National Curry Week by trying one or all of our ten new, LIMITED EDITION South Indian inspired dishes alongside our A La Carte Menu.

A hot summer for Pushkar on the awards front

As the rest of Britain mourns over a very lacklustre summer, it’s been a hot summer on the awards front for Pushkar as we celebrate a 2015 English Curry Award and a Diners’ Choice Award, as well as being selected to represent Birmingham as the Curry Capital of Britain during National Curry Week 2015.
