We are delighted to announce that Bishal Rasaily, Executive Chef at both Pushkar and PRAZA, cooked up a storm during the final of the 2015 UK South Asian Chef Competition (SACC) and was crowned one of the three prestigious winners.
As you might have already heard through the grapevine, Pushkar has been selected to represent the great city of Birmingham during National Curry Week 2015 (12th – 18th October). To celebrate this and as our own little homage to curry and Indian cuisine, we are running a two week South Indian Festival at Pushkar. From 12th – 25th October, you can celebrate National Curry Week by trying one or all of our ten new, LIMITED EDITION South Indian inspired dishes alongside our A La Carte Menu.
As the rest of Britain mourns over a very lacklustre summer, it’s been a hot summer on the awards front for Pushkar as we celebrate a 2015 English Curry Award and a Diners’ Choice Award, as well as being selected to represent Birmingham as the Curry Capital of Britain during National Curry Week 2015.

Pushkar has won its first award of the year after being crowned Broad Street’s ‘Best Fine Dining’ restaurant at the 2015 Best of Broad Street Awards (BOBS) on Sunday 25th January 2015!
Pushkar was delighted to have retired champion tennis player, Martina Navratilova, dine with us recently. Martina is quoted by Tennis historian & journalist Bud Collins as “arguably, the greatest player of all time.” She was World No. 1 for a total of 332 weeks in singles, and a record 237 weeks in doubles, making her the only player in history to have held the top spot in both singles and doubles for over 200 weeks.
